EMS look to always be a step ahead in terms of our social and corporate responsibility. It is our ethos to ‘go above and beyond’.
We believe that this allows us to be a front runner both ethically and corporately and give back to our local communities within which we work.
EMS are proud to be a local employer and have always pledged to invest in our local community surrounding our Herefordshire head office. We provide local Herefordshire residents with opportunities and progressive career opportunities including various trainee positions and schemes.
EMS are mindful of our impact on the environment and reducing wastage and pollution through our activities. We do this by being mindful of fuel usage and economy. We also ensure good route planning to ensure that we make the most economic use of our vehicles to minimise pollution caused by our vehicle emissions.
EMS also have a dedicated environmental policy and continue to make regular improvements to minimise our impact on our environment. Alongside this we also have a working at home policy which allows us to minimise our employees fuel emissions.
Community Good Causes
EMS are also keen to spread our philosophy for excellence in corporate social responsibility through good causes. In recent years, EMS have volunteered asbestos surveying and management services to a local DIY SOS as part of a BBC television series. Alongside this, EMS also likes to donate asbestos services to other charitable causes including to the Cheltenham Open Door renovation project as part of Cheltenham Borough Homes’ ten-year celebration. We donated asbestos services to the whole building before renovation allowing the local charity to support vulnerable, disadvantaged and lonely people all year round.
